What to Expect
Pick-Up and Arrival
Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your location at 10 AM / 5PM. We’ll drive you to Bacocho ( from Monday to Friday) or La Punta (on Saturdays), some charming neighborhoods of Puerto Escondido. 🛻
Welcome and Introduction
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by Jazmin. She’ll introduce you to the ingredients you’ll be using and give an overview of the dishes you’ll be preparing. This is a great time to ask questions and get excited about the cooking process ahead.
Hands-On Cooking
Roll up your sleeves and get ready to cook! You’ll start by preparing the ingredients, from chopping vegetables to grinding spices. Under Jazmin’s expert guidance, you’ll learn to make traditional mole, a rich and flavorful sauce made with a variety of chilies, spices, and chocolate. Next, you’ll prepare tamales, a classic Oaxacan dish made with masa dough filled with meats, cheeses, or vegetables, and wrapped in corn husks. 🌶️
